These prefolds are by far the best I have ever used. I went back and forth about which ones to get for my 2 year old since he out grew his premiums....after much research...I chose the brown edge organics from GMD. I love them!!! They fit great...and the extra width really helps me diaper my chunky thighed little man!!! I haven't had them long...but I have used many different diapers over the years and these are superior to any other I've found!

I love these prefolds! They work so much better than the ill-fitting two size options you get anywhere else. I have the white prefolds, and I am amazed at how incredibly soft they are, they are easy to clean, and fit perfectly either snappied or just tri-folded and set into a cover. Shipping is quick and the prices are competitive. I have recommended GMD prefolds to everyone I know who is thinking about cloth diapering. They are the ONLY way to go if you plan on doing the pre-fold/cover route. And, the website is AMAZING with all the details, insights and photos to help you really know what you're buying.

Although I've only had these a month I really wanted to post a review because I think they saved my cloth diapering experience. New to CD I had purchased premium prefolds (from another company). They were a very nice quality but just too big for my 6 month old son (15 lbs). When I put them on him, it was like he was in a body cast. It was really noticeable when I would pick him up and couldn't hold him comfortably on my hip. That's when I realized that Green Mountain sold prefolds in sizes! I got the red edge and it was like night and day. My husband and I were skeptical of the premium prefolds practicality but when I got these red edge from GM it was like a lightbulb went on. They fit so much better in the diaper covers - without folding. The absorbency is great and when combined with a good cover, should hold everything in. So glad Green Mountain has the great prefolds available. They are an effective and economical CD system.

I have tried expensive AIO, fuzzibunz, kissaluvs, hemp fitteds, etc. I love prefolds. I have used Orange, Yellow and currently red for my 5 mos dd (17 lbs). They wash easier and dry faster than anything else. I use cloth diapers to save money and I can pay for a prefold with 8 uses. A $18 AIO takes 72 uses to break even with one pampers. My little girl is growing so fast, she is in 9-12 mos clothes, I was not saving money with the fancier diapers and did not like them as well. I will use only indian prefolds from here out. I like them with Thirsties covers also from Green Mountian Diapers. They have a great website full of information. I am selling everything that is not prefolds and saving all my prefolds for the next baby. Another benefit to GMD is they are sized to fit the covers perfectly. They are superior to other companies that sell an infant size and a premium size that are always too big or too small.

I love these prefolds! I purchased one brown edge and one organic red edge to try out before buying a dozen. They are extremely soft and wash well. I love the organic cotton prefold the best. It seems a little thicker and softer. I will definitely be buying a dozen of the organic.

Very fast shipment with Green Mountain Diapers.

These are hands-down the best, most absorbant prefolds that you will find! They are more expensive than other ones out there, but you definitely get what you pay for.

I have used the orange, yellow and now red-edged prefolds. Green Mountain has a wide ranges of sizes available so that you can get the best fit for your baby. I was very appreciative of the orange edged newborn size. Even though we only used them two months, it was so nice to have an absorbent prefold that didn't overwhelm me with extra length. Unlike other prefolds, orange edge fits perfectly when snappi'ed under a newborn sized cover. No extra diaper to fold over or stuff.

I had ordered other prefolds but quickly turned them into shop rags and use my clotheez exclusively.

FANTASTIC prefolds! LOVE THEM! I've used orange & yellow so far and they perform perfectly every time. I always recommend these prefolds over any other kind to my friends!! I purchased my first stash used and after going through 3 of her babies and one of mine, they are still great & are durable enough to go through at least 2 more babies and still stay soft & absorbant! Keep up the great work!

I am really considering selling most of my pockets because these are absolutely wonderful to use! I can't believe what a difference the ""sized"" prefolds have made! I am now feeling the prefold love! I confess, I love my cotton fitteds also, so a combination of prefolds and fitteds is cloth dipaering heaven for me!
If you've tried either Gerber prefolds (yeah, not really a diaper!) or the bulky unsized prefolds, and you were frusterated and thought you hated prefolds, try these! You will be pleasantly surprised! The thing I love about prefolds is how easy easy easy they are to clean! Knowing how busy I am getting to be now that I'm past the newborn stage, I'm not going to have time to stuff pockets or mess around with perfecting a wash routine for hard-to-clean microfiber.
Coupled with the AMAZING Thirsties Duo Wraps, these are exactly as trim as my pockets. When you buy the right size prefold, it makes a difference.
Karen's web site was AMAZINGLY informative, better than any other cloth web site I've visited. Her How-To booklet is so worth getting.
It's silly how HAPPY I feel about cloth diapering now! Was starting to get frustrated with all the time I was spending on caring for my pocket diapers and stuffing them!!

I love these prefolds, my sister ordered me 1 dozen yellow edged ones as a gift, and I am more then happy with them. At 5 months and 15 lbs, my daughter is still using them, but I'm getting ready to order some bigger ones! They do get stiff when line dried, but so does most 100% cotton, and I don't have a problem with that. They are very absorbant and have held up well to 5 months of being washed ever 2-3 days!

I am a first time cloth user and really love it! I started using the cloth-eez prefolds (yellow edge) when my daughter was three months old and have bought the brown edge when going up a size. I really like them, but I have never tried any other prefold. I think they work great. Sometimes when there is a huge poop, it will run out the sides but the cover usually keeps it in. I think spillage happens when the diaper is not on properly. I really like using the snappies instead of just laying the diaper in the cover – just my preference. When I line dry them they are pretty rough and stiff. I recommend putting them in the dryer for a little bit to soften them up if line drying. I only use prefolds during the day, I have never used them at night.

Green Mt. Diapers had great service and provide a packet of washing instructions. The info was very overwhelming but helpful.

I would give these a 10 if I could. I tried other PFs b/c they were cheaper (both cost per diaper and shipping), but was very disappointed. The standard sizing of other PFs just didn't work for us. I have a full stash of three different sizes and am getting ready to place an order for more. We currently have unbleached, but I am wanting to try the organic ones. I cannot rave enough about their diapers and customer service. PFs are so cheap, so versatile, and workhorse diapers that the added cost compared to others is quickly made up.

I used Infant periwinkle prefolds for 3 months, but have recently switched to the Medium red edge prefolds and they are working just as well. I always get the unbleached because they are so soft and hide stains well, too. Would (and have!) recommend to any of my friends.

I'm slightly obsessive (ok, very obsessive) and did a lot of research on cloth diapers. I'm a 1st time mom and had no idea about anything diaper related. I looked into all the different kind of diapers, read all about soaps etc.

I was originally going to go with pocket one size, but after much much reading, decided prefolds seemed simple, and less expensive.

GMD was very informative, as was the packet that came with the diapers. My son is 3 weeks old, and besides the disposables that we used when he was in the hospital and first few days home (we wanted his cord to come off) we've used nothing but prefolds.

The orange edge are perfect for our baby, who's birth weight was 6 lb 15 oz. The prefolds fit him BETTER then the newborn disposables did, and we haven't had any problem with leaks or blow outs (he's bf), while the disposables couldn't keep anything in, not even pee.

I also have had no trouble getting them clean. I do a 4 min. prewash with oxyclean baby on cold, a regular wash on hot with charlies soap, and an extra rinse and they come clean every time.

I will be buying more from GMD for sure!

Both DH and I are pre-fold converts. If we could use them all of the time, we would. We experienced our first GMD prefold used via DiaperSwappers. It was the softest and most absorbant of the bunch. Since then, we have been strictly GMD customers for prefolds. I have always purchased the Indian Cotton. I have also nothing but great things to say about the GMD business itself. If you're interested in prefolds, GMD is the place to go and Cloth-eez is the way to go!

I have to say, when I first started using prefolds when my baby was born, I hated them. It really left the impression on me that prefolds are not at all absorbant. Fast forward a year and a half later and I decided to give them another try with the Cloth - Eez. I am in LOVE! I am so impressed with these diapers. I always thought pockets were the most absorbant, but these prefolds can easily hold as much! I am so glad that I am having another baby so I can start off with these from the get go! I will be making most of my stash from the Cloth-Eez from now on!

The best prefold hands down! Ive tried many different brands and when I finally tried these I was amazed at the difference! I ordered 12 bleached and 12 unbleached, these diapers fit my chunky baby like a dream, other brands were usually not wide enough or if they were wide enough they were WAY too long but these were perfect! They are still soooo soft after many washes and not the least bit pilly. Save your money and invest in these, I highly recommend them!

These are hands down the best prefolds out there. The sizing makes perfect sense.. Gone are the days where I have to fold down 5 inches of fabric on my prefolds.. and then struggling to close the sides! I have prefolds to fit my two super chunks.. I will never buy prefolds from anyone else ever again. When I am asked where to start, I generally point them in the direction of GMD. Even my DH has learned to appreciate the simplicity of these diapers. He does a big chunk of the laundry. I was terribly frustrated after buying premium sized PFs.. I had 2 that were in the 15-30lb range and they were too narrow on both, and waaay too long on yds.. Just about 1-2 inches too long on ods. I could not get a good fit with them to save my life. I threw my hands up and was ready to just go back to pockets when a friend of mine linked me to gmd. Being skeptical, I placed an order and boy am I glad I did!

We bought 2 dozen orange edge and 2 dozen yellow edge for our third child. I'm glad we sprung for the orange edge, they worked perfectly for my little 6 lb. 13 oz. newborn. He just turned 5 months and is just now grown out of the yellow edge (at around 50th percentile for height and weight). The yellow edge still work perfectly for use as inserts in the pocket diapers. Great quality, I would buy these again.

We bought the yellow edge prefolds (13 x 13 after shrinking). They were big for our newborn but within a month they fit great, and we managed to use them through almost 8 months / 18 pounds although the rise / length was a struggle (too low) at that point.

For comparison, we outgrew the green edge prefolds within a couple of months. Then they weren't wide enough to do anything other than lay in the cover and close. What I love about prefolds is how they keep in the poo with a nice tight fold so I have no use for prefolds I can't snappi down.

I feel these were a good value for the length of time we were able to use them and for newborns / small infants who aren't so wriggly yet I think prefolds are really all you need. We use more fitteds now that diaper changes are becoming a wrestling match. :)

I managed to find a dozen of the orange edge second hand on craigslist that I hope to use next time around since it will just be for a couple of weeks. I think they will be the perfect size, so nice to have prefolds that you don't have to fold down / make even bulkier!

These dipes actually fit! I wish I had known about these with my last daughter. You do not have to fold them down in the front and that makes them much trimmer than regularly sized prefolds you buy from other places. I really love these prefolds, worth every penny I spent. I was not really going to get into prefolds as I like the idea of fitteds and pockets and the ease of them but to be honest, prefolds are just as easy. My DS is 2 mos and about 12 lbs...the yellow fit him like a glove. EBF poo is no match for these and a thirsty, super brite or imse vimse cover. We just love the absorbency and the fit of these prefolds. I love the GMD website, it's so informative. The selection of sizes is awesome. I bought some other CPF from a specialty shop and learned that they just don't hold a candle to the CLOTHEEZ dipes. I am a convert for sure. They are even great for stuffing pockets. Very versatile. Stains come right out.

These diapers are awesome! I bought a dozen brown-edge for my toddler and a dozen each of the orange-edge and yellow-edge for my newborn.

The brown-edge are great without a cover around the house for my rash-prone toddler. They get damp on the outside but not saturated. Also very trim trifolded or pinned in a PUL or wool cover for going out. I double up a brown-edge with a trifolded orange- or yellow-edge at night, and it holds up great.

The orange-edge are a beautiful fit on my one-week-old. I use them when I'm showing off my little guy (or the diapers!) and for going out, since they are so trim and adorable. The yellow-edge prefolds fit well too, just have to fold them down so they're a little bulkier. I use these pinned with PUL or wool covers, and I haven't had blowouts at all so far.

I'm on a tight budget and couldn't really spend money on newborn-sized fitteds. These are an awesome substitute... the orange-edge especially are very easy to pin for a great fit with no leaks, and they are way cheaper than fitteds! The smaller sizes also make good doublers for my toddler.

I was afraid of prefolds at first, but now they are the first thing I reach for... they are so much easier to wash up clean and fresh, and my toddler can't undo pins like she can pull off a velcro AIO! My DH doesn't mind them either, they are wide enough to pin or snappi easily, or he just trifolds one in a cover and it's almost as easy as an AIO.

I bought the brown edge when my daughter grew out of her infant prefolds. Unfortunately, the brown edge were way too big for her then, and still are five months later. However, this was still an excellent purchase, as they are the perfect size for placing under her bottom when changing her. I would probably even buy these for baby shower gifts for that purpose. They are extremely nice quality. I believe, however, that they are thicker than the infant prefolds I ordered from another retailer (even though they are also 4-8-4), which contributes to not fitting my daughter well. I would suggest ordering just one along with some other sizes to test them out.

They also wash up beautifully when washed within a day or two (longer than that and I have to put them out in the sun). The poo also rinses out of them very well.

All in all an excellent diaper.

I bought a set of 12 Chinese Cloth-Ease prefolds to test on my then 2-month old dd. I live in India where few people own clothes dryers, so I had a family member prep them for me. They were very quilty and a bit soft when they arrived, however they lost their softness after the first couple of times line-drying them, so if you usually line-dry your diapers and softness is important to you, I would not recommend them. Poop also leaks out of them in the thighs, so I usually have to change the cover. It's because of these issues that I've rated them a 4 instead of a 5. However, they are very absorbent as daytime diapers (you definitely need a liner to use them at night), are easy to put on the baby with a snappi and are cheap, so they make good backup diapers if the preferred ones are out. However, I have heard that the Indian prefolds are softer, so I think I will order those instead of the Chinese ones next time. Green Mountain does now offer Indian prefolds.

I also want to add that Green Mountain includes a wonderful booklet with washing information. It's a bit overwhelming at first, but it has a lot of useful information, definitely more than I've received from other companies so far. They also shipped quickly.

I was so excited to order these and receive them after hearing such great reviews. I was so disappointed in their condition after just a few washings. They pilled HORRIBLY! I washed them separately for the first 6 washings/dryings and within 2 washings they were all pilly! I hate the feeling of them. Prefolds are supposed to be soft and quilty. They did quilt up, but they were definitely NOT soft! I even had 1 out of the dozen that did not quilt up at all. I wish I could have returned them, but all their prefolds are sold ""AS IS""

The company did ship fast though. I received them the next day, probably because I'm only one state over. Anyways, I sold them, and am just waiting to get more Little Lions when she opens again.

Purchased in 2/2008. Used this item for 3 months. Date Posted: 6/2/2008

I bought by the dozen.

I love the fit of these prefolds. I started with orange edge and the fit was so perfect. We used these for about a month along with the yellow edge. I did fold the yellow edge down for the first month and a half, but it was too bulky.

We are still in yellow edge. DS is now 3 months and around 15 lbs. We are folding down anymore and are still snapping.

They are holding up to washing daily. I haven't had any loose threads, but I think I was bought before that. I bought more yellow edge when we got out of the orange edge size.
